after exam

so I survived my first exam in UK.
I dont think I did well in my EU paper. fundamentally wrong I can say. I dont hope for the best already, but please dont come out too bad.. *crossing finger*
as for employment law, I am quite okay with it, but still, I dont want to be over confident because shit can happen any time.
this whole torturing revision moment + remembering case laws at the very last minute + sleeping at inhumanly hour = biological clock fucked up + hormone imbalance + mentally exhausted + adrenaline rush that caused irregular heart beat during / after exam.

on top of that, I straight away left for Aberystwyth on Friday itself. like I had my dinner after employment exam, packed my stuff, that's how rush I am.

Minus the insane thing we did ( me and yannie) , we reached safely in Aber. I was very tired, hence, I dont even care how beauty the scene was, sleep deprived took precedence over anything. so I slept throughout the whole journey.

toured around Aber.
my first impression:
-ABER'S WIND IS MADNESS CRAZY LIKE SHIT. IT BLOWS YOUUUUUUU AWAYYYY.
-Aber does not have a Primark.
-Aber has nicer people.
-Aber's sun sets later than Liverpool. (just what I think)
-Aber is a very peaceful place.It is a very small town like Bath where half a day you can see basically everything. but, Bath is more towards a tourist place so is kinda "commercialized" whereas Aber has this, hmm, "purity" "tranquillity". Still, it is boring I can say. I mean you are not gonna spend most of your day by the sea side right? I mean, hello, we are teenagers, we do stupid and silly things, no way I am living like I am in my 50s or 60s. this is too unexcited for me, so I like Aber as a place for relaxation and life after retire but not as a long term staying place.

oh, the landscape of Aber is something lazy people like me will dislike.
so you see, when there is a sea, that means a hill is nearby, so imagine you have to walk up to the hill/slope for classes every day, I will surrender. Aberystwyth University is located up on the hill.
OH MAI GOD.
NO WAYYYYY.

anyway, I have a very good and caring tour guide touring me around Aber and constantly make sure my stomach have work to do.

-breakfast with daniel and zan.
-visited lay kuan and wei ting's half awake face
-bought bus ticket to cardiff.

supposedly 3 hours and 55 minutes bus ride but we reached 20 minutes earlier.
I am generally okay with bus rides. is not the hour that matters, is the road.
I tend to suffer from car sick EASILY.
especially bumpy ride/ winding road with no end.
so, despite the spectacular view across the shore, and very emotionless sheep chewing grass throughout the first hour plus, my brain technically having an internal fight with my stomach not to puke.
wtf.
i hate this feeling you know. :(

thank god I survived. once the bus hit the main road, I had this huge long breathe.

and hello cardiff!
that day was the chinese new year eve.
so, the feeling is a little bit awkward for being thousand miles away from my family where I used to be with them every single year without fail. anyway, this feeling didnt stay for a very long time because I am excited to be in a new place!
yay!

that night I had my 团圆饭 with kexin and yannie.
slept at jun juan's place.
ok, considering the whole mental exhaustion I have gone through for the past few weeks and deprivation from a good quality of sleep, it reached my very limit to hold on any longer. And jun juan ignorance ( he is tipsy) I assumed I can sleep without alarm clock to wake me up (at least one night).

I WAS WRONG. FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG.

for god sake, he became fully awake:
"mei quin, let's talk!"

and, even me being "hmm", "ahh", "i see", showing no excitement to continue the whole conversation", he bombarded my ears till 3am.

went cardiff's queen street.
went Gilly Hicks because Liverpool doesnt have one.
went cardiff castle where i faked my identity so as to not pay 9 pounds for entrance fee.
cheapskate i know.

a very gloomy weather for all the days we were in Cardiff.
that night we had dinner at kexin's hostel.
from there, jun juan walked me back to his place and he said:

i wanted to go. i am fine. but, i am really tired.
the long non-productive conversation we had yesterday reduced the quality of my sleep.
so i say:

so i guess it's a norm to reflect what i've done before i wrap up this year.
my 2011 has been quite awesome, i've been travelling around:

jumpshot in every single place i went to is a must! haha!

apart from travelling either in Malaysia or outside Malaysia, in year 2011, i celebrated my wonderful 21st birthday celebration as well:

still young, beginning of my twenties, so im enjoying my life. hahah.
and making it to Liverpool to continue my studies marked another important event in year 2011.
i still remembered vividly how my parents reacted when i decided to take another pre-u course. come to think about it, im wasting my parents' money and my time to take an equivalent course. switching from foundation in arts to Alevels, and then proceed to my year 1, year 2 in law degree, all these events took place within 3 years. wow. time really flies huh. and then, coming to UK, going through all the hell in exams and assignments, viva test, IELTS, visa application, yada yada, I MADE IT.
it's definitely not an easy path, but somehow i just managed to go through everything.

learn how to cook without burning the kitchen. so far so good, no food poison yet.

another 6 months i shall declare myself an officially law graduate. :) omg omg omg. this is too fast!

but, of course we need hard work and more efforts before I can reach there.
Nevertheless, 2011 is a busy and productive year I can say. I grew up not just physically but also in terms of my knowledge as well as the way i perceived things.

as a 21 years old girl, I may not achieved a lot like other people who is same age with me for example emma watson (harry potter), kristen steward (twilight), yuna kim (south korean figure skater), seungri (bigbang's maknae), sooyoung (snsd) but i consider myself a blessing girl having received a lot of loves and supports from my friends and family.

what's coming up for me is assignments and bar application deadlines. It is then followed by my first semester exam.
S.T.R.E.S.S.

i missed moments from 19th to 26th of December.
i dont even care what the date was during that period because it's just hanging out with friends and making fun of each other.
anyway, i still need to face the reality.
gotta work hard already.
and im hoping my 2012 is another nice year for me :D

It's been my dream to come to London.
and I made it.
3 days 2 nights in London.
made it in my age of 21 is pretty awesome, hahah.
so like normal tourist, first time to London, we visited those must-see-place.

It feels amazing when you get to see it through your own eyes. I mean, this is where Prince William and Katherine kissed!! the balcony!! It is so real. It's amazing.

it is different from Liverpool.

Had a rather productive week I can say.
-assignments are done. at least 90%. the remaining parts are the bibliography and some final touch-ups. like finally huh.

-amazingly, I managed to finish it before the deadline I set which I think is a good thing. and, in between I did dragged myself throughout and slacked like nobody's business. so, what is left is a final check of it.

-and then, collected tomyam paste from the main post office. a very heart warming gift from my friends in Malaysia, I appreciate it very very much. thanks to wei xuan and ah sim. I know is not cheap to post stuff to overseas. really being thankful my dear. and, we finished it the next day. lol lol lol. tomyam best larrrrr

-xmas shopping! how can we missed shopping here?! I bought presents for yannie, mj, thomas, waipin, kexin and terry. I entered into shops I wouldnt enter back in M'sia, and what is shocking to myself is I bought things from those shops! Zara. H&M. Hollister. Gap. Next. I wanted to buy a 7 pounds shirt for myself but, never mind la.

-had my first KFC in UK. it sucked. very salty. no mash potatoes, tsk tsk tsk. and their chicken wing is baby size, hmmm... I want my big chicken wing!!!

-on that same day, it marked my first time seeing snow in real!!!! no more google image. no more bbc news. no more pictures from friends. is me witnessing through my eyes!!! heh! hmm,, I thought it will be some special feelings, but nothing much tho. It didnt snowed when I was walking, I was in the shop.Thats why I feel something is lacking here. haha.

-played board game with yannie and mj. im lovin' it!

-stocked up for winter and exams. 30 pounds. gg.

-cleaned the whole flat today! very gross. very dusty. very tiring.

-friends are coming: terry, timothy, kimmy, kim, kexin, allan, asyraf, *bright smile*

LLB is not an easy course. I should know from the beginning.

All this while, I'm confined in the comfort zone, I never realized how tough it can be until I'm in Liverpool.

With assignments, coursework, deadlines, exams, applications kicking in at one shot, I feel overload.

It's been a while I felt overload.

The last time was in my secondary school when I had my debate competition, society activities, tuition classes at once.

Well, I believe if I can make it back then, I will be able to do it this time.

I supposed the level of tolerance has increased and I shouldn't be panic about it, right?

Everyone has the same 24 hours, no one gets extra or less than the others.

I must get the most out of it.

Especially the clock is ticking every single seconds, I need to use it wisely.

Is always about planning and learning.

No one is responsible for your life but you.

Remember that.

I got my parents' hope and belief, I can't disappoint them.

It is for me and for them.

maths=law

No matter how much I dislike a subject, I'll try my best not to hate it because I know once I started to hate it, everything gone. I will flunk it and the consequences is disastrous.

This started way earlier when I was in primary school.
I never like maths. And, to be honest, I am quite slow in subtraction. But, I never hate it because I am not in the position to fail that subject. So, what I can do is do more exercise, even I solved the equation slower, at least, I tried using my way of solving it.

And then it was negative number. you wouldn't know how long I took to understand the whole concept.
Things were not that terrible until I met algebra and those question asked you to find "x".

So for some unknown reason,I managed to go through that and tada, form 4 already.
The consensus view is to enter science stream, so I ended up there.
Is totally fine you know. I mean there'll be subjects that are not your cup of tea right?
unfortunately for me, it was add maths (yes, maths again) and physics.
Never I thought in my life I'll be doing add maths. That's another hell for me.
If you still can recall, logarithms, more algebras, sin cos tan whatever shit you named it, and that's my first failure I ever encountered in my school life. A BIG RED MARK in my report card.

WTF.

seriously, hello maths, I got my own problem too, go and solve your own problem can?!!

and yes, more hard work needed. it proves hard work won't disappoint you. (luckily).
but, to be frank, I do not know how to solve questions involve log.
yes, sad case.

ok. bringing up all these maths issues is to remind me so long as I do not hate the subject, I still can go through it, in fact, with sufficient exercise and practice, the results are not bad.
This applies in my degree too.

Criminal Law.
Company Law.
This 2 subjects are my nightmare.
I did pretty well at the end of the day :)

exception: Land Law. I still cannot understand why I didn't score it. :(

Anyway, Trust Law is the new challenge for me. To be exact I think is all the subjects I am taking now.

Each with their own complexity and the level of confusion can be kinda extreme at times.
You know, is week 8 already, can you imagine how scary it is when you don't really understand the topics that has been taught for the past few weeks?
You are left with more confusions and more uncertainties every time after tutorials/seminars.
This is scary.

#1 in conjunction with Halloween festival which is around the corner, yannie and mj decided to craft the pumpkin after our dinner.

#2 me and thomas being good friend decided to participate with them, and yea, we managed to cut the upper part nicely. whilst yannie did the removing of the flesh. 100% handmade yo!

in fact is my week 4 here, but i just calculate according to the semester week, easier.
just had my first tutorial, well, around 15 of us, half ang moh half asian.
so far so good.
it's just that i didnt prepare enought and thats why i cant really participate it.
never mind, it will get better.

so, one thing about UK education is they give you a reading list and you are own your own.
no spoon feeding/ breast feeding unlike how we were brought up in the Malaysia education system.
so, things get a little bit challenging for people like me that so used to spoon feeding.
well, i take it positively.. i wont die i supposed. haha.
it's just more hard work and more reading.

WEATHER
oh yea, as much as i try to like the English weather, ahh, still a long way to go i guess.
wind is so strong and literally blow my hair up. and if you are skinny enough, you can get blown away for few steps. exaggerating? but it's still contain some truth tho.

AND IT'S GETTING COLDERRRRRRR.

if you were to ask me what's good about UK, i guess, it's their refund and exchange policy?

so, the story goes like this: i bought a study lamp but it's a yellow bulb. who uses yellow bulb to study?? it's not me definitely. i cant really use it for my study so i went back 3 days later to get my refund. of course they allowed (FULL REFUND) and here i am, getting a new study lamp.
It may not be something to "whoah", but i like it eh.
i mean, this wont happen in Malaysia with their stupid once sold, no refund policy, so unfair.
pfft.
buy first, decide later. heheh.
p/s: i get full refund for my umbrella too. btw, if i wish to, i'm able to exchange my adidas to the purple one within 28 days. yay!

shopping generally is cool and awesome apart from the general rule : girls like shopping.
yes, and if you dont convert, everything is so damm cheap.
in primark, 2 pounds to 6 pounds for a wool long sleeve shirt.
my grey coat, 25 pounds.
wait till boxing day, i'll go MAD.

for certain product, if you convert, it is still cheap.
and, no point converting if you really need them/ like them.

staying together yannie and mayjean. thomas, hmm, he's part of our house mate already, at least, we count him in food.
i got my own toilet and i think is a good thing.

so yeah, im at a different part of the world now.

never in my life i thought i can step into this land at the age of 21 studying law.

#1 part of the cleaning process

i need to emphasize im a tidy person. this messy and not organized style is so not me.
so few days ago, im just into the mood of cleaning and rearranging everything, and it took me half a day to clean and tidy things up.
in the process of organizing things, i have to go through everything A to Z to see whether i still need or not, or else, trash bin is the final destination for those non-relevant things.

and, it brought a lot of memories back.
a lot.

#2 Form to be filled in. Yes, it's your handwriting Leong Wan Huey

this is a form to request for a classroom in order to carry out society's activities. if you got the permit, you are allowed to use that particular classroom on that day at the given time.

every secretary of the society will need to fill in this form and it must be signed by our teacher advisor and lastly by the head of co-curriculum.

#3 minutes of meeting

yes, is my society's minutes. Persatuan Bahasa Cina.

that was those days having 7 teachers in my society to handle.

stress gila to handle all of them at once.

and is written there the 1st meeting, this recalled how i conducted the very first meeting with all the new elected AJKs.

#4 LEADERSHIP CAMP

one of the memory in high school is to be part of the AJK of the leadership camp.

in my school, this camp is organized by Lembaga Pengerusi and only two members from each society are allowed to participate.

is a story of joy and tears i can say.

i missed the moment we reached the school at 5am to set up everything.

everyone is given a duty and every hard work is equally important. is always a team work that brings the success of one event.

and then we lead the groups, go through some "inspirational" games and lessons, prepare food together.

not forgetting bathing in the not-so-clean toilet with cold water at 10pm.

#5 my diary. it's full of schedules.

i never doubt my memory power. but, you know, at times, when everything came together at once, it's better to jot it down. especially when they concern 3 societies and you are the one in charge of something important.

never in my life im so occupied like how i was back in form4 and form5.

come to think about it, when i first learnt chemistry, it was really a nightmare for me.
first, endless scientific terms. with that, it came with endless of abbreviations. that being said, extra things to memorize.
not forgetting how strict our madam ng is, the way she taught us is by asking us to copy every single words from her mouth to our notes. fyi, her speed is pretty fast considering the fact that we have to digest while copy, it literally consumes a lot of mental strength.
all this while, she never wrote anything on the white board, even she did, it was to spell "methanoate".
she is a legend. im proud to be her student.
even her class is tiring, but you get the most from her. thanks to her teaching, i once thought i will flunk chemistry but i survived!
mother, i miss you! :))

you must be wondering why am i keeping all these right?
erm, part of memory?
i din throw them. instead, i keep it properly.
it's quite fun to read those documents you know.
oh, that was just part of something familiar.
the most epic one is, i still have my primary school's report cards and chinese new year card!!!

if one were to ask me what is my feeling now, im at lost to give an answer to it.

especially i had my farewell done with my debate friends and st.john friends already, every goodbye i said, is no longer the same goodbye i told them like how i used to.
a very complicated feeling i should say.

every hello comes a goodbye.
it is just that this goodbye will be about 1 year plus or 2 years.
i know we can still contact each other with msn, skype, but it's not the same.

i always feel blessed to have all my friends with me sharing my happy and sad moments.
there might be times where i didnt approach you due to our busy schedules, nevertheless, we do put the effort to meet up and update our latest status to each other.
yes, despite events that occurred way months back, but, i somehow feel that i got the duty to tell everything a to z. we shouldnt have anything hidden between us isn't it?
i dont like the feeling of knowing news of a close friend of mine from another not close friend. this is humiliating.
that is why, i prefer telling my friends directly. even if it is months late. at least they know my things from me.

friends, thank you for lighting up my social life.
we know each other for months for years, i know is a little bit gross, still, i wish our friendship can last forever.
haha.
i might be demanding, but, my last demand would be please miss me once in a while.

-very boring true or dare game but john get emo. and he still cannot get over it.

-jingmay being the brave girl cleaned the whole kitchen sink consists a mixture of unknown floating object and reddish liquid. gross enough for me to describe it, but, it is not until you smell it.

-another guy got emo too. but he denies it. you know who you are lah. life is not fair, what to do? haih.

-girls with random topics. yea, girls stuff. talk talk talk and more talking. =))

-i confirmed with my mum im not breastfed when i was a baby. they keep insisting im because all of them are! pfft!

-kexin told all of us her plan of getting a child and get married ~~again~~.

-jingmay, yes, the brave girl helped us to chase the grasshopper out. pua seng yik, ini perempuan baik, dont let her off yo!

some sincere advice to all of you who wanna go there in the future:

-WANNA CHECK IN USING YOUR IPHONE, BB, HTC?? FORGET ABOUT IT. BECAUSE THERE IS NO COVERAGE AT ALL.

-bring enough water to drink. you dont wanna to be thirsty whole night long.

-mosquitoes banyak. when you are out there for bbq especially. there're mosquito coils available. it's just that the smell is not you wanna have it near your food.

-get a GPS unless your friend been there before. it's very REMOTE. if you thought you are not in the right way, just continue driving, you have to pass by a small malay village/housing area one.

-dont drive your bmw, porshe there. yes, the road is a little bit bumpy.

-make sure your friend is a good cook, like how mine is. =) nothing is more happier to trigger your sense of smell with a perfectly cooked bacon when you're half asleep. a good breakfast is essential yo!

yes, the trip with my sstwo continue to langkawi. =)
on the 14th, 15th and16th leaves langkawi.
and what we did was nothing besides eating, fooling around, chilling and berbonding.
i had my longest 1 hour and 45 mins ever in my life to reach safely at langkawi.
yes yes yes. sea sick is what you called.
haih. my mum is like that, so i supposed i must be like that. =(

we rented an innova. kiamsiap us always calculated and fully utilized the petrol before returning the car. haha.

but, until now i cannot accept the fact that IT IS SO DAMM CHEAP.

one bottle of chivas regal costs only RM60. cheaper than one forever 21 dress. wtf.

ok, i think i should rephrase, IT IS SO DAMM EXPENSIVE WHEN EVERYTHING IS OUT FROM LANGKAWI. hmm, about 150% than the price we saw in langkawi. even the airport sells it not as cheap as in langkawi.

conclusion: i confirm i wanna go langkawi when i emo already. drink like nobody business with cooling sea breeze + eat sweet stuff till i gain my sense back.

alright. back to topic. after buying what our parents/siblings/friends asked us to buy from the duty free shop, we are back to the motel. some drinking game, we had a nice sleep.

we decided to go to the ~~highest point~~ of langkawi. Langkawi Cable Car it is to reach the ~~highest point~~.

just found out where we were was the second highest peak from malaysia government website.

sad eh. i thought we went to the highest peak.

before that, stopped by at petrol station to fill our stomach.

yes, instant noodle in case you are curious.

but, this petrol station has the nicest scenery ever!

bout 15 mins later, we reach the cable car place. not many people as we expected. we reached there around 10.30am i think.

views are spectacular and breathe taking despite the weather isnt in his good mood.

i can tell you it is very very very cold up there. especially when it is raining.

luckily it was not that heavy, just drizzling. but still, kinda chill.

since we payed about RM30 per person, we spend enough time up there before coming down.
if you asked me what we can do up there, here's some suggestions:
- inhale as many fresh air as you can. you know, is RM30
- take as many photos as you can although there're just trees trees trees and trees accompanied with sea view of course. you know, is RM30.
- T.A.K.E Y.O.U.R T.I.M.E to do whatever you want. start day dreaming is a pretty good idea. sweet talk with your partner also can. starring at the sea with an empty mind is not a bad choice either. closed your eyes and feel you own the island is ridiculous but is doable. hahahahaha!

when we got down and heading to where we parked our car, there's a malay lady who approached us. she introduced us a mangrove tour plan to us.
yes, we took it.
and it was fun! :D
-imo we had one of the coolest speed boat driver ever.
-we FED STINGRAY for the 1st time. okla, not we. but michele. apparently stingray will cover your whole hand to sense the food. they cannot see their prey because their eyes are on top of the body fyi.
-we see how fish reacted when they saw the colour white and spitted their saliva as high as 2metres.
-we TOUCHED HORSESHOE CRAB for the 1st time.
-we SAW EAGLES in REAL for the 1st time too. (not the one from national geographic channel if you considered watching from TV is seeing it real)
-we DROVE SPEED BOAT TOO!
-we can somehow see the thailand border too. nah, im not cheating, we received sms from thailand. you know, like those you'll receive when you're in another country. it reads :welcome to xxx, roaming at xxx price and dot dot dot. i really get excited!!!

#15 mangrove tree. recap your bio knowledge : they breathe through pneumatophores.

#16 once in a while, we should take a ride on the boat. smelling the not-so-nice-smell of the river is a blessed because you wont do that in the city.

#17 beauty of nature. malaysia does have some nice place.

when we have papago to direct us, i realized how experience is important to the boat driver.

conclusion: i will consider buying a speedboat for myself.
sea sick? ahhh, can be cured over time i think. :P

ended our trip around 2 hours and reached the hotel around late evening.

time is not an issue. how to spend my time efficiently is never important.

i guessed why people always wanted to go for holidays perhaps is to regain their true self after a long hiatus work in the city.

so my trip with my sstwo ended on 16th july.

returning our car to the owner in the morning.

boarded the boat at 9.30am and experienced my another longest 1 hour and 45 mins in my life.

and then we headed to the airport while some of them chose to sit the car.

because i went to places i never been to since my last trip. go and search my september 2009 archive if interested.

this time traveled along with my Alevels sister and 3 more handsome guy.

as mentioned earlier, one day after the trip in PD with s2 kaki, im off to penang by plane on 12th july.

2 days in Penang and another 2 days in Langkawi.

i shall deal with penang first.

settled at my friend john's house, we are off for lunch and then to Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion

i personally think the admission fee of 12 bucks is worth for because i learnt alot of things and admire the level of knowledge they possessed during that time.

fengshui especially. every single corner and design of the house related to fengshui.

superstitious yet it has a deep meaning in it.

for example : this house actually faces the sea and has penang hill behind it. in chinese: 靠山望海, a very good fengshui indeed.

perhaps, the wisdom of the ancestors is to be respected and followed.

#2 exterior of the mansion. i like the painting of the house. according to the tour guide, it is yellow-brownish before turning to indigo-blue. catch up with the tour to get more information. more info: here

#3 in the living room where the owner mr.cheong used to invite guest.

#4 after the living room, we are lead to another erm, living room? an outer space before the small hall. open air is designed to enhance the ventilation because hot air is lighter and that it floats whereas cool air is heavier and that it can cool down the whole house. concept banyak kaitan dengan fengshui lar. the fan was installed after it had been purchased by local penang people.

the tour guide really explained the design of the house and the life of cheong fatt tze in detailed. in case you want to know, he is buried back in his hometown, china. this tour really open my eyes. really. zero regrets.

#5 nothing that side. obviously we posed it on purpose.

#6 me attempting planking. hahah. planking is the latest trend that thou shall try. ;)

after dinner we went to straits quay. a rather new complex in penang. john lead the way there, and chill a while before we end our first day.

i will go back there next time for sure. i like that place. perfect for dating. hah!

there are restaurants and pubs along the bay. feeling the sea breeze yet? i do!

then we went laksamana cheng ho's temple and war museum.
lunch we had asam laksa, best in penang, yes, the one near kek lok si.
souvenir time and we drove to airport to pick andrew.
dinner at andrew's place + celebrate see wei & michele's birthday.
stayed overnight at seberang prai before the trip to langkawi on thursday.

War Museum, the only outdoor museum in Malaysia. it is maintained how it is back in the 1970s. the fort was deserted after world war 2 and it only turned to museum after 30 years of abandonment.

the whole journey took us about 2 hours i think.
i would say the admission fee is worth it.

our generation is blessed in the sense that we do not suffer from any huge wars. thus, we must not forget the history and prevent it from reoccurring.
i would say is exhausting yet fascinating.

my friday was a productive day.
despite getting my ass up at 5.30am is torturing, and washed whole basket of laundry after long working day, my friday was pretty amazing.

so thursday night i slept over at yannie's place. thanks for introducing me a "horror" drama, i still think that it is "horror".
bleh.
btw, thanks again for the dinner, the eggtart, your comfy bed, white shirts and mcd breakfast.
i owed u a big one.
please, what you heard that night kept between us, muahahahahaha.

also, hsu ann was pretty shocked to see me at yannie's place! yay!

so my friday was productive in the sense that i got to visit the court together with a chamber student in the current law firm im attached with.
im a newbie. that being said, i know basically nothing at all.
regardless, i still felt excited.
haha!!
how should i describe it in words?? hmm.
is like you sorta forsee your future chambering life but you havent been to that stage yet.
everything is new! *hyper mode on*

we (me and yannie) get to do some court duty. extract judgement.
ignoring the fact that we got to 2 wrong departments and get some "scolding", it was still fun. =)
we also get to see how an interview to a detainee was carried out.
and, how a mitigation process was done.
oh, meeting my senior in the legal aid center is another highlight of the day too.
try imagine meeting your senior from the same high school in a court, and this senior is someone you are very respectful towards with, it's just overwhelming and at the same time tension.
ahhh, new friends too! generally the chambering students were helpful and friendly to us! that minus the awkwardness and uneasiness. =))
last but not least, one of the high profile case had its hearing on that day too.
that datuk t scandalous video thingy. hence, reporters, security guards, police, supporters were everywhere.
the reporters reached as early as 7.40am and maybe early than that.
do i met him? yes, sorta. while he is on his way out after the hearing.
whatever.

basically it was a nice day for me.
wrapped up my 1st week of attachment nicely.

hmm, monday is here again.
waking up at 6am for 5 days aint no fun.
this week is without yannie presence.
i suddenly feel lonely.

life has been pretty busy these days that I neglected you for 2months?
(good at making up excuse =p)

where should i start?

-my year 2 came to its end at 1pm on 20th May 2011 which was the last paper.
now im waiting for the results and then i can apply for visa already.
-the day after my last paper, i stepped into the cinema and watched pirates of carribean.
-the next day i flew to china and had a family trip till end of may.
-for june, it starts off with miss kexin's bday (celebrated 2 days earlier) and then mr.how's bday.
-it follows up by a yum cha session with bestie --lipeng, shopping session with my aunt + all sorts of dinner with relatives and dinner session with woan yuen.
-and then it is ielts class for first 2 weeks of june.
-in the meantime, celebrated hsu ann's + waipin's bday.
-also, get a reply from shook lin & bok to have an attachment program with them for the last 2 weeks of june.
-as for yesterday, i got the opportunity to watch jolin tsai's 2011 concert!!! all thanks to pamela!!! (in return, i ffked my st.john's friend -- yuinmei for not turning up in her big day)

came to this world 21 years ago, been surviving till today which is a good thing.

the most comfortable i can be with is always with the secondary school gang. not because i cant mixed well with my current gang, it is just that there's something extra with these people. as usual, we do not meet up that often, we only know bits and pieces of what each other up to, nonetheless, laughter is in the air arises from a lame joke. we just need that to balance our life with these people.

next morning, with my super sleepy eye, I celebrated my birthday with my family.

(the main discussion on that day was the complaint li peng filed towards her current college, not much on my part tho, so cute of her.)

so this post is mainly about how i spend my time with my cousin sister and brother when they were back in malaysia for one month.

one month sounds pretty long tho. but, after u deduct the 1 week to bali, 1 week of her going back to kuantan and benta, 2 days to singapore, i literally spend 1 week with her ( not continuously).

this is my pretty cousin sister, joan tan. ♥♥♥♥

so this is our very first meal in malaysia eating together.

jimmy tan (joan's brother), ernest, my uncle (obviously he sits with the wrong one), bent, and my brother.

right after the dinner, i brought them to 100yen.

throughout their stay here, we also manage to catch up with another cousins i.e. ee loe and ee kie.

you know, we chinese people have certain name to address to the right one. unlike in english, uncle and aunty to every relatives in both your dad's side and mum's side.

to be precise, we should have address this 2 cousins as our 表姨.

their father is my grandfather's youngest brother.

can you imagine now????

yes. it is correct to say, my mum have to call their dad: 小叔.

and i called him 小叔公.
